Sun Valley Trout Park

Sun Valley Trout Park is a campground and a commercial trout farm on 15 hectares of natural wooden beauty.  They offer both serviced sites for Recreational Vehicles as well as non-serviced sites for tenters.  Sun Valley Trout Park also offers fee-fishing for pan-sized trout and catch and release flyfishing.

Rolley Lake Provincial Park

Less than an hour’s drive from Vancouver, Rolley Lake Provincial Park provides a quick escape from urban life.  The park is a predominately flat, wilderness area blanketed with tall, second-growth conifers.  The small, warm-water lake provides opportunities for swimming, fishing and canoeing.  Sixty-four campsites are nestled in the trees just minutes from the lakeshore.  Visitors can also enjoy picnicking, interpretive programs, and short hikes.

The Campground

The Campground is located approximately 25 minutes from Mission.  The facilities at the Campground include well spaced tent sites and RV sites (with water, sewer & electricity hookups)  The site also includes heated washrooms with showers, pay telephones, a small store, children’s playground, and central fire pit.

Golden Ears Provincial Park

As one of the largest parks in the province, Golden Ears Provincial Park is prized for its recreational opportunities. Located approximately 38 km’s from Mission, the extensive system of trails within the park provides an excellent opportunity for hiking and horseback riding. Alouette Lake is a popular spot for swimming, windsurfing, water-skiing, canoeing, boating and fishing. The park also has three large campgrounds. Natural Features Vegetation is typical of the coastal western Hemlock forest of BC and the mountainous backcountry is extremely rugged.

Matsqui Trail

Part of the Greater Vancouver Parks System, the park is located on underneath the south end of the Mission Bridge.  The park features 26 km’s of trails that are suitable for hiking, horseback riding and cycling.  The park also features 4 unserviced campsites.
