Dog Licenses

The owner of every dog shall, annually on or before the 1st day of January in each year or as soon thereafter as such dog shall attain the age of 7 months, cause the same to be registered, described and licensed by the Municipality and shall at all times thereafter cause the dog to wear around its neck a collar, to which shall be attached the licence tag referred to in Section 3.6 of the Dog Licensing and Animal Control and Impounding Bylaw 1782-1988. Also please refer to this bylaw for the cost of licencing and for information on lost or damaged tags or if you are a newcomer to Mission currently in possession of a tag through another municipality.
A licence may be purchased at the Municipal Hall at 8645 Stave Lake Street, Box 20, Mission, BC V2V 4L9 or at Mission Animal Control Services at 9541 Woodward Street, Mission, BC V4S 1H9. Adoption of Animals

The Mission Animal Control Services is located at 9541 Woodward Street. Dogs are available for adoption both through the Animal Control Services and the Fraser Valley Humane Society. The Fraser Valley Humane Society also has cat adoptions and is located at 33103 N. Railway Avenue, Mission, BC V2V 1E3. They are open from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm seven days a week for cat adoptions ONLY.
