Central Fraser Valley Transit System

The District of Mission and the City of Abbotsford are partners in a joint transit system for the combined service area. The conventional and custom transit services are provided by Township Transit Services Ltd. under a joint agreement between the contractor, local government and B.C. Transit.

The transit system within the District of Mission provides half hour service, Monday through Saturday from approximately 6:30 am to 10:00 pm. On Sunday’s, one hour service is provided from approximately 9:45 am to 6:00 pm. The specific hours of operation varies on each route within the District.

The transit services are cost shared between the local government and BC Transit at a ratio of 53.31%/46.69% respectively for the conventional service and 33.31%/66.69% respectively for the custom service. The local governments share of the service is then split between Abbotsford and Mission on the basis of service hours within each jurisdiction. Currently Mission’s local governments share of the conventional and custom system is 21% and 22.5% respectively
