Mission Recycling Depot

The following residential recyclables are accepted for drop off at the Mission Recycling Depot free of charge:

  • Blue-bag Recyclables (up to 10 blue bags also accepted from businesses free of charge)
  • Car Batteries
  • Metal Appliances (no fridges or freezers)
  • Paint Cans and Paint Aerosol Cans (with or without residue)
  • Propane Tanks (empty only)
  • Scrap Metal (e.g., barbecues, chain link fencing, appliances)
  • All household batteries, rechargeable and non-rechargeable
  • Cell phones (including chargers)
  • Fluorescent light tubes & compacts (or take compact fluorescent lights to RONA)
  • Household hazardous products
  • Electronic Waste, limited to desktop computers, printers, fax machines, monitors, laptops, televisions, mice, keyboards & cables, audio-visual and consumer equipment, smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors

  • Books
  • Cooking Oil Information on Recycling your Used Cooking Oil

The privately owned Mission Recycle Centre at 7233 Park Street accepts additional materials, including beverage containers for deposit refund and Styrofoam™.  For more information, visit recyclinginbc.ca.
