Public Budget Consultation Meeting
The District’s 2012 budget process, which started on December 8, 2011, with a presentation of the Community Report 2012 / Financial Plan (reflected a preliminary 6.15% tax increase) has now progressed to the point where Council is proposing a 0% tax increase and a 2% increase in water and sewer rates for 2012. The 0% has been achieved with minimal impact on District services or service levels.
Council invites you to attend a public budget consultation meeting on Thursday, March 15, 2012, at 6:30 pm in the Council Chambers of Municipal Hall, to provide input in regards to the District’s proposed 2012 budget. A public budget consultation background document which provides further information on the District’s proposed 2012 budget can been accessed at the link – Overview of Proposed 2012 Budget. This document provides details of the District’s budget and finances including how a 0% tax increase was achieved.
