SCHOOL PROGRAMS (School program K to Grade 3)
Each school is asked to select one student (kindergarten to grade 3) to represent the school as a “Captain for a Day”.  The selected student is invited to an activity program sponsored by the Mission Fire/Rescue Service and consists of a tour of the Fire Station, along with lunch at Boston Pizza as well as a presentation from the Mayor.  In addition, all the students selected to be “Captain for a Day”  have their names put in a hat and one is chosen as the “Fire Chief for a Day”.   On the following Monday after the event, the “Fire Chief for a Day” student is driven to school in a fire truck.  The student is also presented with a plaque and photo album at a District of Mission Council meeting.

The staff at the Mission Fire/Rescue Service remind you to:

  • Practice Fire Safety in your home
