*Do Not Enter or go through any open gates AT ANY TIME! Narrow roads with logging trucks, dangerous falling and yarding activity, drilling and blasting. Gates may be closed at any time, leaving you locked in. WorksafeBC requirements include no public access for safety reasons.

Active Logging (tree falling, harvesting, trucking)*****DO NOT DRIVE THOUGH ANY OPEN ACCESS GATE – IT CAN BE LOCKED AT ANY TIME, LEAVING YOU LOCKED IN! NO ENTRY IS PERMITTED! We are concerned about your safety, therefore NO ENTRY PERMITTED past any areas which are signed, ribboned or posted as ACTIVE LOGGING, in accordance with WCB requirements. In a ‘person vs falling trees’ scenario, the trees will win every time. Please keep safe! |

Active Silviculture Activities (plant, space, brush, fertilize)Planting - 2012 planting will start in March or April, in various areas harvested in 2011, weather depending. Brushing – For information on 2012 brushing schedules, please call our office. Fertilization – There are no fertilization activities at this time. |

Florence Lake Forest Service Road (Burma Road)Industrial users must use kicking horse channel posted at the start of the road. EXPECT HIGH USE PUBLIC TRAFFIC AT ALL TIMES! Expect logging trucks, grader, and dump truck traffic throughout the year. Loaded trucks require longer braking distances. Pull over and allow trucks the right of way at all times. The gate located at the start of this road at the junction with Dewdney Trunk Road is normally left open but may be closed during certain high forest fire hazard periods in the summer or at other times for security, safety or road construction reasons.

Access to Other Forestry Roads Within the Municipal ForestThe Mission Municipal Forest maintains numerous gates on other forestry roads for various purposes including fire season control, prevention of garbage dumping as well as protection of equipment, facilities, recreational opportunities, road surfaces, wildlife habitat and residents’ privacy rights. |

Please provide as much detail as possible (vehicle licence, description, activity).
