What’s New!

Labour Day Holiday and Annual Maintenance Closures

  • The Pool Area will be closed for annual maintenance from August 29 – September 19. This includes the sauna, steam room & hot tub.
  • The Fitness Area will be closed for Maintenance September 5-7th.
  • The Facility will be closed for Labour Day Monday September 7th.

Other than the noted closures our fitness area, gymnasium and reception desk will be open to the public during the pool shutdown period.

TAG Program (Tween Action Group)

Led by experienced youth staff, our “Tween Action Group” is a fun, supervised after-school program for kids 11-13 years old. This seven week program consists of planned activities and outtrips, which promote interaction, learning, and recreation. View the TAG program schedule.

New Wellness Gym at Centennial Park

The new Wellness Gym at Centennial Park is an accessible exercise hub with equipment and suggested exercises to guide your wellness journey. Join us for the Grand Opening Tuesday September 15, 10:45am or check out one of the orientations as listed.

KidSport Mission celebrates KidSport Week Sept 6 – 13

Help support Mission kids to participate in a season of sport.  A percent of all coffee sold Sept 6 – 13 at the Mission Petro-Can stations and Red’s Grill in the Leisure Centre will go to support KidSport Mission. Have a cup a joe and help keep local kids active! The District of Mission has officially proclaimed KidSport Week as Sep 6-13.

Mission Strong – September 29 – October 24 – Registration Open!

Mission strong is Mission Parks, Recreation & Culture’s annual Youth Fitness Challenge. The challenge period runs September 29-October 23 where youth are encouraged to train 2-3 times a week in preparation for Mission Strong’s signature 25 station mud-filled obstacle course Saturday October 24 at Centennial Park. Contract Program Instructors

Do you have a special talent or skill you want to share with the community? The District of Mission Parks, Recreation and Culture department is looking for Contract Program Instructors on an ongoing basis. The possibilities are endless! From jewelry design to cricket, soccer to photography we’re looking for instructors with specialized skills that allow us to share their talents with the community through our recreation programs.
