Mission Strong – September 29 – October 24

Mission strong is Mission Parks, Recreation & Culture’s annual Youth Fitness Challenge. The challenge period runs September 29-October 23 where youth are encouraged to train 2-3 times a week in preparation for Mission Strong’s signature 25 station mud-filled obstacle course Saturday October 24 at Centennial Park. Club K.I.D.S Winter Registration

Registration for the Club K.I.D.S afterschool recreation program for Jan-Mar, 2016 will open on October 15, 2015. Please visit the Club K.I.D.S page or call us for more details on the program.

Youth Mentorship Program

The Mission Parks, Recreation and Culture department is proud to announce the launch of the new Youth Mentorship Program. Under the direction of the Youth Engagement Worker, youth ages 13 -18 will be trained and supported to serve as Youth Mentors in the Mission Youth Lounge and Skate Park. Contract Program Instructors

Do you have a special talent or skill you want to share with the community? The District of Mission Parks, Recreation and Culture department is looking for Contract Program Instructors on an ongoing basis. The possibilities are endless! From jewelry design to cricket, soccer to photography we’re looking for instructors with specialized skills that allow us to share their talents with the community through our recreation programs.
