Sports Day in Canada is Saturday November 29. The Parks, Recreation and Culture Department is celebrating with an Interactive Sports Expo event from 11am-2:30pm. Free tri-it sport sessions, registrations, free swim & skate, click here for more information.
Nominations for the Mission Sports Hall of Fame are accepted on an ongoing basis and reviewed annually in the Fall for the upcoming year. The Hall of Fame, located in the Mission Leisure Centre, honours athletes, coaches and officials from the District of Mission for their outstanding contribution or achievement in sport.
Nomination forms and criteria for consideration are available on the website leisure page under “Sports Hall of Fame”.
On Tues Nov 18th from 6:30-8pm, regular admission gives you access to the pool, rink and a new bonus special themed activity session in the gym led by our Family Play Leader. Bouncy castle, sports, crafts, game and a toddler tumble zone are some of the fun things to look forward to. This week’s theme, In Remembrance.
Every Tuesday from 11am-1pm is free family fun in the gymnasium. This drop-in program is geared towards children under 6 years and their parents/caregivers. Please click here fore more information.

The District of Mission Parks, Recreation and Culture department is looking for Contract Program Instructors on an ongoing basis. The possibilities are endless! From jewelry design to cricket, soccer to photography we’re looking for instructors with specialized skills that allow us to share their talents with the community through our recreation programs.
