Licensing
The District of Mission’s Inspection Services Department is responsible for the licencing of dogs, business licencing, building permits and inspections, and bylaw enforcement.
Dog Licensing
The owner of every dog shall, annually on or before the 1st day of January in each year or as soon thereafter as such dog shall attain the age of 7 months, cause the same to be registered, described and licensed by the Municipality and shall at all times thereafter cause the dog to wear around its neck a collar, to which shall be attached the license tag referred to in Section 3.6 of the Dog Licensing and Animal Control and Impounding Bylaw.
Business Licensing
Every business carrying on a commercial or industrial undertaking of any kind or nature or the providing of professional, personal or other services for the purpose of gain or profit, but does not include an activity carried on by the government, its agencies or government owned corporations is required to obtain a business licence.
