2008 Preliminary Election Results
Voting Places General voting day for the 2008 Local government Elections for the positions of Mayor, Councillors and School trustees is Saturday, November 15, 2008 and the following voting places will be open between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. for qualified resident and non-resident property electors of the District of Mission.
- Albert McMahon Elementary School, 32865 Cherry Avenue
- West Heights Elementary School, 32065 Van Velzen Avenue
- Hatzic Secondary School, 34800 Dewdney Trunk Road
- Mission Central Elementary School, 7466 Welton Street
- Silverdale Elementary School, 39715 Donatelli Street
- Fire Hall #2, 30514 Dewdney Trunk Road
Advanced Voting
Advance voting opportunities will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 and Wednesday, November 12, 2008 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the District of Mission, Municipal Hall, 8645 Stave Lake Street, Mission for qualified resident and non-resident property.
Special Voting
Special voting opportunities will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at the following locations and times. The only electors who may vote at these special voting opportunities are qualified resident or non-resident property electors of the District of Mission, who are residents or patients of, or workers at the respective facilities including, in the case of Pleasant View Home, residents or patients of, or workers at Pleasant View Home Apartments, 7540 Hurd Street, Mission.
- Mission Memorial Hospital, 7324 Hurd Stret, Mission from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
- Pleasant View Home, 7530 Hurd Street, Mission from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
- The Cedars, 7380 Hurd Street, Mission from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Carrington House Retirement Community 32700 – 7th Ave from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Welton Towers, 33214 – 2nd Avenue, Mission from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
