The District of Mission partners with two different union groups:
CUPE Local 1267 
Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 1267 represents over 210 inside and outside workers employed throughout the District at Municipal Hall, the RCMP Detachment, Public Works Yard, Parks, Stores, Mission Leisure Centre and Fire/Rescue Services administration.

IAFF Local 4768 
The International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Local 4768 represents 8 members of the Mission Professional Firefighters Association that work out of Fire Station #1.
