7th Avenue Greenway
The City of Mission has launched the design process for the 7th Avenue Greenway, a 6.5 km route for people walking, wheeling and cycling. The future greenway will support all forms of active transportation and recreation, including walking, cycling, skateboarding, rollerblading, and people using strollers or other mobility aids.

Downtown Revitalization Project
On November 7, 2016, Council approved the project plan for the 1st Avenue Improvement Project. This project included the removal and replacement of curbs, sidewalks, lights, trees, bollards, and furnishings.

The City of Mission is updating its Transportation Master Plan to shape the future of transportation in Mission and to respond to ongoing growth and development. Starting in December 2020, the City will take a 10-month process to create Mission Mobility 2050.
