7th Avenue Greenway

The City of Mission has launched the design process for the 7th Avenue Greenway, a 6.5 km route for people walking, wheeling and cycling. The future greenway will support all forms of active transportation and recreation, including walking, cycling, skateboarding, rollerblading, and people using strollers or other mobility aids.

14th Avenue Watermain Replacement

A recently approved road improvement project for 14th Avenue will be phased over a 4-year period, and the first section to be constructed is between Hurd Street and Tanager Street. Prior to making the road improvements, the City is replacing about 1 km of older, undersized watermain on 14th Avenue east of Caribou Street.

Transportation Master Plan

The City of Mission is updating its Transportation Master Plan to shape the future of transportation in Mission and to respond to ongoing growth and development. Starting in December 2020, the City will take a 10-month process to create Mission Mobility 2050.

Fraser River Crossing Forcemain Project

The City of Mission has launched the Fraser River Sanitary Forcemain Project – Land Contract is in Partnership with the Federal and Provincial Government via the Clean Waste Water Fund (CWWF).

Downtown Revitalization Project

On November 7, 2016, Council approved the project plan for the 1st Avenue Improvement Project.  This project included the removal and replacement of curbs, sidewalks, lights, trees, bollards, and furnishings.
