STAVE LAKE

BC Hydro controls a boat launch facility on Stave Lake at approximately 1 km north on the Florence Lake Forest Service Road.  The launch can be closed during dam maintenance periods.

Please refer to BC Hydro website for more information on closures. The access to the launch may also be closed from the beginning of the Florence Lake Forest Service Road during period of high forest fire danger or other road maintenance periods.

HAYWARD LAKE

This reservoir is restricted to non-motorized boats – BC Hydro Park and Facility

SAYRES LAKE

Located 12.5km north on Florence Lake Forest Service Road, the lake is accessed through the BC Forest Service Recreation site and permits non-motorized boats only.  Some kayak and canoe rentals on site (seasonal).  Contact  Sayres Lake campground for further details.

Fishing

For current regulations and restrictions, please refer to the Freshwater Fishing Synopsis. Lakes available for freshwater angling in and around the Municipal Forest include:

• Stave Lake and Hayward Lake
• Sayres Lake (sometimes known as cedar lake)
• Morgan Lake – hike in only
• Florence Lake – hike in only
• Hoover Lake – hike in only
• Rolley Lake
• Devil’s Lake – hike in only
