The first week and every Wednesday during the program, youth are provided with leadership training to support them in their leadership journey.
This includes the following:
● First Aid Training & Certificate
● Recreation Fundamentals
● Physical Literacy Training
● Group Leadership Training
● Teaching and Facilitation Training
● Outdoor Adventures
● Games & Team Building
● Guest speakers
● And so much more!
Among the trainings, participants will also have the opportunity to grow as a team and through Wednesday afternoon activities, youth will have a great time putting their skills to the test while growing friendships with one another.
Part of growing as a leader is practicing what you learn along the way. Through volunteer opportunities at our summer camps, coupled with mentorship from our youth leadership staff, youth will be set up for success to shine!
Volunteering takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10-2pm at our Club KIDS Summer camps and Creator’s Specialty camp where volunteers will have the opportunity to observe, plan and lead activities as well as spend time with the kids being a positive role model and having a good time helping the kids with their different crafts, games, sports and activities! Club KIDS camp may include swimming opportunities – so be prepared to get wet!
Volunteer hours – 8 hours a week – will be tracked and can be used for school volunteer hours.
Spaces are limited to a maximum of 10 participants and so register early to secure your spot.
