Mission, BC – The City of Mission will be hosting a virtual and in-person open house to explore the preliminary design options for the Central Neighbourhood Plan.

The Central Neighbourhood Plan is the first neighbourhood planning area of the larger Silverdale Comprehensive Planning Area. Working with the findings of the Master Infrastructure Strategy, the Lead Planning Consultant, along with the City of Mission, is presenting a series of land-use scenarios to the public for feedback as well as ask questions. The feedback provided through the Open House will form the basis for developing a preferred land use option.

“This is the first opportunity for the public to have their say in what the future of Silverdale will look like”, said Mayor Paul Horn. “Council and I are excited to hear from the public as we move toward developing the preferred land use plan for the Central Neighbourhood. It is really important we hear from as many neighbours as possible”.

The Virtual Open House will be presented to the public from Monday, June 14th through Wednesday, June 16th with an option for those unable to access the online presentation to attend an in-person session on June 17th between 5:00 – 8:00 pm.
