Update: December 1, 2021 at 10:30pm

This morning, City crews were servicing a  hydrant at Dewdney Trunk Road & Keystone Avenue. An unexpected water release resulted in a turbidity spike in the Cannell Lake water main. As a result, some areas, particularly in Cedar Valley are seeing turbid or cloudy water.

A report to Fraser Health was been completed as required. Water testing confirms that water meets drinking water guidelines. While the water may not look aesthetically pleasing, the safety of the drinking water has not been compromised.

Fraser Health has information on managing turbid water at https://www.fraserhealth.ca/health-topics-a-to-z/drinking-water/turbidity

The Ruskin water system is the only area that currently has a Boil Water Advisory.
