Here are some of the projects underway in and around our community from across Municipal operations.
- A new water main has been installed along the Cedar Valley Connector, between Lougheed Highway and 7th Avenue. Crews will now start work on the tie in connections and the pressure regulating station. The work will continue Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm daily for several weeks. There will be single lane road closures during the hours of construction, expect intermittent traffic delays. Please follow all onsite traffic controls.
- Residential tie-in work on the new Taulbut Street water main is complete. We would like to extend a special thank you to all residents and businesses in this area for their patience. Crews will still be in the area repairing sidewalks, finishing the storm line, and completing lawn restorations through the month of August.
- Utility crews continue to work on hydrant maintenance, painting the hydrants and clearing the brush and grass.
- It’s Your Business! The 2018 Budget Council meetings are starting with the District’s capital budget on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 1:00 pm. The public is encouraged to attend these meetings and comments and input are always welcomed. All budget meetings are webcast for those unable to attend. Check out: www.mission.ca/budget for meeting dates and times, agendas, meeting highlights, and other important updates.
