BC Youth Week

BC Youth Week is a provincial celebration of youth held annually during the first week of May. It is a week of fun filled interaction and a celebration intended to build a strong connection between youth and their communities. This event is intended to highlight the interests, accomplishments, and diversity of youth across the province.
All events are for youth 12 – 18 years and are free unless otherwise stated. Mission is hosting the following events in celebration!
FRIDAY APRIL 28
Youth Skate – 7:45-9:15 pm
Free admission, ice skate and helmet rentals are extra, $4 skates, $1 helmet.
Located in the South Arena at the Mission Leisure Centre.
MONDAY MAY 1
Milkshake Monday – 3:30-6:00 pm
Come hang out at the youth center and grab a shake.
Located at the Mission Youth Centre.
TUESDAY MAY 2
Drop-in GYM – 3:00-4:30 pm
Shoot hoops, play soccer, or other sports in the Gymnasium.
Located in the Gymnasium at the Mission Leisure Centre.
TUESDAY MAY 2 – WEDNESDAY MAY 4
3 vs 3 Basketball Tournament – 5:00-7:00 pm
The Mission Basketball Club and Parks and Rec are hosting a free 3×3 Basketball tournament.
May 2 is ages 8-10 years, May 3 is for ages 11-13, and May 4 is for ages 13-16years.

Drop-in Gym – 3:30-5:00 pm
Shoot hoops, play soccer, or other sports in the Gymnasium.
Located in the Gymnasium at the Mission Leisure Centre.
WEDNESDAY MAY 3
Music Bingo – 6:00-8:00 pm
In partnership with the Optimist Club. Wear a wacky hat!
Located in the Mission Youth Centre.
THURSDAY MAY 4
Drop-in Gym – 3:00-4:30 pm
Shoot hoops, play soccer, or other sports in the Gymnasium.
Located in the Gymnasium at the Mission Leisure Centre.
THURSDAY MAY 4
May the 4th be with you! – 3:00-9:00 pm
Youth dinner, Star Wars activities and more!
Located at the Mission Youth Centre.
SATURDAY MAY 6
CANCELLED Skate Park Party
Due to inclement weather and the safety risk skateboard and scootering on slick pavement poses,
we have made the decision to unfortunately cancel the Skate Park Party that was scheduled for Saturday May 6 during Youth Week.
There will still be fun activities happening at the Youth Centre on this date and we hope to see you there!
