Mission Career Expo & Job Fair
October 11 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
The City of Mission is excited to be co-hosting the 2022 Mission Career Expo & Job Fair at the Mission Leisure Centre on October 11th. Working in partnership with Work BC, Mission Public Schools, North Fraser Community Futures, and the Mission Regional Chamber of Commerce, these organizations all share the City’s desire to promote opportunities for career preparation and local employment within the community.
The Mission Career Expo and Job Fair aims to connect job seekers with employers from a range of industries to share information on current job opportunities, career trends, skills training, and to provide opportunities for networking and the development of professional relationships. Job seekers will have the opportunity to interact one-on-one with over 30 local and Fraser Valley employers from a wide variety of sectors including hospitality, transportation, industry & trades, retail, and government & public sector to learn about their organizations and the positions they are hiring for. In addition to employers, exhibitors at the Fair will also include post-secondary & career training institutions, industry associations, and career planning service providers who will be available to assist job seekers in getting the job they are looking for.
In order to prepare job seekers prior to the event, Work BC will be hosting free online and in-person job boot camp sessions where they will provide support on how to prepare for the Job Fair, how to engage with employers during the Fair, and how to pursue opportunities during and after the event. The Fair runs from 10 am to 3pm and is open to the public. Whether looking for a new job, information on local post- secondary and training programs, or assistance with career planning, job seekers will be able to find it all at this event.
