Move for Health Day – Events

The World Health Organization has selected Move for Health Day to be observed around the globe on May 10, every year. Check out the many opportunities Mission has to Move for Health. All events are located at the Mission Leisure Centre. Although many events are free, registration is required to secure your spot, register online mission.ca/register or call 604-820-5350.

FREE Fall Prevention: How to Avoid Falls to Stay Safe (50+)
11:30 am-12:15 pm
MP#4 -Space is available for 20 attendees. Anyone can fall, but the risk of falling becomes greater with age.
Learn a number of simple steps you can take in and around your home and beyond to help prevent falls as well as injuries caused by falling.

Band Workout (13+) – $19 + tax
7:00-8:00 pm
MP#4- Space available for 6 attendees. The resistance band is one of the most effective ways to keep muscles and joints responsive and strong.
