Councillor Rhett Nicholson first ran for council in 2011 and was elected in November, 2014.


Rhett Nicholson is a young professional and graduate of the Art Institute of Vancouver. He has been working in the family business Sue’s Copy Place a local business here in Mission for the last 20 years. Rhett has sat on the board of the Downtown Business Association for 2 terms and is the creator and organizer of Missionfest, the downtown street fair.

He is a member of the Chamber of commerce and has been nominated for Business Leader of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year and won Business of the Year.

Rhett has an amazing young family including two beautiful children. He has been a strong leader working with and for youth in our community with the Mission Optimist club. Having worked with or volunteered with nearly every nonprofit in Mission he loves the passion of the volunteers in the community.

Rhett is a huge supporter of the Arts and has won 3 Muse Awards, and he likes to shop local whether it is a fresh cup of joe or a tailored suit.
