A Public Hearing to consider the following proposed bylaws will take place on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 6:00 pm.  This hearing may be viewed and heard in person at Municipal Hall, 8645 Stave Lake Street, Mission, and on the City’s livestream webcast.  Any person who believes they are affected by a proposed bylaw shall be given a reasonable opportunity to be heard.

1.ZONING AMENDING BYLAW 6132-2022-5949(85) – File: R18-027

The purpose of the Bylaw is to rezone the subject properties located at 11511 and 11533 Wilson Street (shown on the maps below) from Rural 16 (RU16) Zone to the Rural Residential 7 Secondary Dwelling (RR7s) Zone, to facilitate a subsequent 7-lot bare land strata subdivision with lots a minimum 0.7 ha (1.73 ac) lot size allowing a secondary dwelling unit on each lot.

2.ZONING AMENDING BYLAW 6168-2023-5949(106) – File: R22-026

The purpose of the Bylaw is to rezone the subject properties located at 8715 and 8733 Dewdney Trunk Road (shown on the maps below) from the Suburban 20 (S20) Zone to the Multi-unit Duplex 465 (MD465) Zone, Urban Compact 465 (UC465) Zone, and Urban Compact 372 (UC372) Zone to allow 9 fee simple duplexes under MD465 zone, spanning 18 lots of a minimum 232 sq m (2,502 sq ft) lot size, and with a minimum 372 sq m (4,004 sq ft) lot size under the UC372 zone and a minimum 465 sq m (5,005 sq ft) lot size under UC465 zone.

3.ZONING AMENDING BYLAW 6169-2023-5949(107) – File: R21-030

The purpose of the Bylaw is to rezone the subject properties located at 33186, 33196, 33226, 33230, 33242, 33256, 33278, and 33282 Tunbridge Avenue (shown on the maps below) from the Suburban 20 (S20) Zone to Urban Compact 465 (UC465) ZoneUrban Compact 372 (UC372) Zone, Urban Compact 372 Secondary Dwelling (UC372s) Zone, Multi-unit Duplex 465 (MD465) Zone, and Institutional Parks, Recreation and Civic (IPRC) Zone to facilitate a 62-lot subdivision with 61-lots a minimum 372 sq m (4,004 sq ft) lot size with secondary dwelling units permitted on the UC372s zoned lots,  and remainder parcels to be zoned IPRC and MD465.

4.ZONING AMENDING BYLAW 6171-2023-5949(108)

The purpose of the Bylaw is to amend Zoning Bylaw 5949-2020 to alter the regulations regarding tandem parking spaces in townhouse developments.

5.ZONING AMENDING BYLAW 6173-2023-5949(110)

The purpose of the Bylaw is to rezone the subject property located at 33174 Tunbridge Avenue (shown on the maps below) from the Suburban 20 (S20) Zone to Urban Compact 372 (UC372) Zone and Institutional Parks, Recreation and Civic (IPRC) Zone to facilitate an 8-lot subdivision with minimum lot size of 372 sq m (4004 sq ft) and with one reminder lot zoned as IPRC.

Following the Public Hearing, Council shall not receive further information or submissions and may consider advancing bylaws forward for additional readings.
