A Public Hearing to consider the following proposed bylaws will take place on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 6:00 pm.  This hearing may be viewed and heard in person at Municipal Hall, 8645 Stave Lake Street, Mission, and on the City’s livestream webcast.  Any person who believes they are affected by a proposed bylaw shall be given a reasonable opportunity to be heard.

Participation in this Public Hearing can be done by:

  • in-person attendance at the Council Chambers of the Municipal Hall, 8645 Stave Lake Street, Mission, BC

    • email to info@mission.ca with PUBLIC HEARING COMMENTS as the subject line, or

All written comments should include the writer’s name and address, which will become part of the public record.  All written submissions must be received by 4:00 pm on Friday, August 12, 2022.

Bylaws to be considered:

1. ZONING AMENDING BYLAW 6109-2022-5949(70) – File: R19-021

The purpose of the Bylaw is to rezone the subject properties located at 32647, 32659 – 6th Avenue, and 7542 Briskham Street (shown on the maps below) from the Multi-unit Duplex 465 (MD465) Zone to Multi-unit Townhouse (MT1) Zone to allow a 19-unit townhouse development.

2.ZONING AMENDING BYLAW 6110-2022-5949(71) – (FILE: R22-004)

The purpose of the Bylaw is to rezone the subject property located at 8241 Hazel Crescent  (shown on the maps below) from the Urban Residential 558 (R558) Zone to the Urban Residential 558 Secondary Dwelling (R558s) Zone to allow for a secondary dwelling unit.

3.ZONING AMENDING BYLAW 6111-2022-5949(72) – File: R21-044

The purpose of the Bylaw is to rezone the subject property located at 30684 Dewdney Trunk Road (shown on the maps below) from the Rural 16 (RU16) Zone to Rural Residential 7 (RR7) Zone to allow a 6-lot subdivision with each lot a minimum 0.70 ha (1.73 ac) size.

4.ZONING AMENDING BYLAW 6113-2022-5949(73) – (FILE: R22-005)

The purpose of the Bylaw is to rezone the subject property located at 7736 Swift Drive  (shown on the maps below) from the Urban Residential 558 (R558) Zone to the Urban Residential 558 Secondary Dwelling (R558s) Zone to allow for a secondary dwelling unit.

5.ZONING AMENDING BYLAW 6117-2022-5949(74) – (FILE: R21-017)

The purpose of the Bylaw is to rezone the subject property located at 30272 Nikula Avenue  (shown on the maps below) from the Rural 16 (RU16) Zone to the Rural Residential 7 (RR7) Zone to allow a 2-lot subdivision with each lot a minimum 0.70 ha (1.73 ac) size.

Following the Public Hearing, Council shall not receive further information or submissions and may consider advancing bylaws forward for additional readings.
