OCP AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO.  OCP19-003

SUBJECT: District of Mission’s Master Infrastructure Strategy (MIS)

DISTRICT OF MISSION OFFICIAL COMMUNITY PLAN AMENDING BYLAW 5866-2019-5670(12)

This bylaw proposes to amend District of Mission Official Community Plan Bylaw 5670-2017 by:

a. replacing Policy 8.3.8 with:

“Prepare neighbourhood plans in accordance with the neighbourhood plan structure in Section 8.2 and the parameters below, considering previous plans and the District of Mission’s Master Infrastructure Strategy (MIS) but based primarily on current conditions and opportunities.”

OCP AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO.  OCP20-005

SUBJECT PROPERTIES: 34048 AND 34054 PARR AVENUE

DISTRICT OF MISSION OFFICIAL COMMUNITY PLAN AMENDING BYLAW 5944-2020-5670(21)

The purpose of the bylaw is to amend District of Mission Official Community Plan Bylaw 5670-2017 to redesignate a portion of the subject properties located at 34048 and 34054 Parr Avenue (shown on the maps below) from Attached Multi-unit Residential to Environmentally Sensitive Area and Parks and Open Space to designate greenspace within a proposed 23 lot subdivision.

REZONING APPLICATION NO. R19-029 

SUBJECT PROPERTY:  34048 AND 34054 PARR AVENUE

DISTRICT OF MISSION ZONING AMENDING BYLAW 5945-2020-5050(382)

The purpose of the Bylaw is to rezone portions of the subject properties located at 34048 and 34054 Parr Avenue (shown on the maps below) from the Rural 16 Zone (RU16) to the Residential Compact 465 (RC465), Residential Compact 465 Secondary Dwelling (RC465s), Residential Two Unit (RT465), and Institutional Parks, Recreation and Civic (IPRC) zones to allow for a subsequent subdivision into twenty three (23) lots.

Copies of the proposed bylaws and reports relevant to these bylaws may be inspected at the Municipal Hall, 8645 Stave Lake Street, Mission, BC, Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm from Friday, June 5, 2020 to Monday, June 22, 2020. The information is also available on our website at mission.ca by searching “Public Hearing Information”.  For further information regarding these bylaws, please contact the Development Services Department at (604) 820-3748.

At the Public Hearing, persons who believe that their interest in property is affected by these proposed bylaws will have the opportunity to be heard.

Should you have any comments or concerns you wish to convey to Council and you cannot attend the meeting, please submit in writing to the Corporate Officer by 4:00 pm on Friday, June 19, 2020.

Please note: Submissions that are subject of a public hearing, public meeting or other public processes will be included, in their entirety, in the public information package and will form part of the public record. Council shall not receive further information or submissions after the conclusion of the Public Hearing.

If you wish to speak at the meeting, a new format is in place to adhere to the Provincial Government’s 2 metre physical distancing and 50 person maximum gathering requirements. To attend in person at Municipal Hall, enter via the Dewdney Trunk Road entrance, follow the directional signage and check-in with staff to have your name added to the speaker’s list. Speakers will be permitted to line up within Council Chambers and will be required to leave the Chamber after speaking. Please stay home if you are feeling unwell.

Following the Public Hearing portion of the meeting, Council may consider advancing bylaws forward for additional readings.
