Notice of Virtual Public Hearing – April 26, 2021

Pursuant to the provisions of Sections 464 and 466 of the Local Government Act, and in accordance with public health orders, a VIRTUAL PUBLIC HEARING to consider the following proposed bylaws will take place by Zoom Webinar and live-streamed on the District’s Website on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 6:00 pm.

31893 Raven Avenue
  1. OFFICIAL COMMUNITY PLAN AMENDING BYLAW 6006-2021-5670(28) – File: OCP18-005

The purpose of the Bylaw is to redesignate the subject property located at 31893 Raven Avenue (shown on the maps below) from Commercial to Attached Multi-unit Residential to facilitate the development of 2 fee simple duplexes.

  1. ZONING AMENDING BYLAW 6030-2021-5949(32) – File: R18-021

The purpose of the Bylaw is to rezone the subject property located at 31893 Raven Avenue (shown on the maps below) from the Urban Residential 558 (R558) Zone to the Multi-unit Duplex 465 (MD465) Zone to facilitate a subsequent subdivision for 2 fee simple duplexes spanning 4 lots of a minimum 232 sq m (2,502 sq ft) lot size.

32959 and 32969 Cherry Avenue
ZONING AMENDING BYLAW 6020-2021-5949(26) The purpose of the Bylaw is to rezone the subject properties located at 32959 and 32969 Cherry Avenue (shown on the maps below) from the Suburban 20 (S20) Zone to the Multi-unit Townhouse One (MT1) Zone to allow a of 42-unit townhouse development.

32690 - 14th Avenue and unaddressed lot

ZONING AMENDING BYLAW 6021-2021-5949(27)

The purpose of the Bylaw is to rezone the subject properties located at Unaddressed property (PID: 009-341-510) and 32690 14th Avenue  (shown on the maps below) from the Urban Residential 558 (R558) Zone to the Multi-unit Apartment One (MA1) Zone to allow the development of 103-unit apartment building with underground parking.

Further Information:
Anyone who believes they are affected by a proposed bylaw shall be given a reasonable opportunity to be heard. Due to public health orders, the Public Hearing will be conducted virtually and live-streamed on the District’s website. The public may participate in the meeting via Zoom Webinar (visit mission.ca/public hearings for details and instructions), or provide comments to Council in writing. All written comments should include the writer’s name and address, which will become part of the public record.  All written submissions must be received by 4:00 pm on Friday, April 23, 2021. Following the Public Hearing, Council shall not receive further information or submissions and may consider advancing bylaws forward for additional readings. Copies of the proposed bylaws and reports relevant to these bylaws may be inspected at the Municipal Hall, 8645 Stave Lake Street, Mission, BC, Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, from Friday, April 9, 2021 to Monday, April 26, 2021.
