Club K.I.D.S.

Overview

Club K.I.D.S. (Kids Ideas Developing Skills) is a recreation program that operates at various elementary schools in Mission. The program is a joint Mission Parks, Recreation & Culture and School District #75 cooperative project licensed by the Ministry of Health.

It is open to children in Kindergarten to Grade 6. Club Kids (CK) is tax deductible and accepts Affordable Child Care benefit plans.

Each of our dedicated CK instructors are 19 years of age and older, have recreation base training and meet or exceed Fraser Health requirements and standards. We want your child to have an enjoyable experience, therefore the focus will be on a variety of fun activities through the day to keep your child busy and engaged.

Please note that a Registration Form is required for your child to attend any of the below programs. This year's registration form is valid for use from September 2024 - August 2025. A new form is required before registration for the September 2025 season.

CK Winter Before & After-School (Jan-Mar 2026)

Club KIDS before-school care is operating at four locations currently: ESR, Hatzic, Albert McMahon, and Windebank.

Our program starts as early as 6:30am each day, and children will be dropped off directly at their classroom when the bell rings. Before-school care costs $10/day. Registration for before-school care occurs in 'seasons' running:

September - December
January - March
April - June

Registration Process

On the scheduled dates listed in the "Registration Dates" section, parents/caregivers do the following:

Login to your account at www.mission.ca/register.
Under the "Camps & More" heading you will choose "CK Reservations".
Your child's school location will open-up for registration at the exact allocated time (9am or 1pm depending on school).
Register your child(ren) at your location to be places into the queue.
A registration clerk will phone you within the 3-hour window of registration to confirm which days you would like your child registered for. Please have a credit card available for payment.

Club Kids after-school care is operating at nine locations currently: Central, Cherry Hill, ESR, Hatzic, Hillside, Albert McMahon, Christine Morrison, Windebank, and West Heights.

Our program runs from the dismissal bell until 6pm. After-school care costs $19.50/day. Registration for after-school care occurs in 'seasons' running:

September - December
January - March
April - June

Please note: you can register for both before and after-school care on the same registration date.

Club Kids operates through Spring Break with week-long camps at various locations. Camps run from 8am - 5:30pm and a full week of camp costs $195.

Registration Process

Registration for Spring Break will open on January 22, 2025. On registration day parents/caregivers do the following:

Under the "Camps & More" heading you will choose "Club KIDS Camps".
Parents/caregivers are able to fully register their child(ren) online - includes selecting the desired camp location, which weeks, and making payment.

Club Kids operates through Summer Break with week-long camps for $200/week. Camps run from 8:00am - 5:30pm at various locations.

Week 4: July 21-25 - Art Lab
Week 5: July 28 - Aug 1 - Space Expedition

Week 7: Aug 11-15 - Heroic Adventures
Week 8: Aug 18-22 - The Great Outdoors

Please note we do not have summer camp operating the week of August 25-29th.

Registration Process

Registration for Summer Camp will open on May 21, 2025 at 9:00am. On registration day parents/caregivers do the following:

Login to your account at www.mission.ca/register.
Under the "Camps & More" heading you will choose "Club KIDS Camps".
Parents/caregivers are able to fully register their child(ren) online - including selecting the desired camp location, which weeks, and making payment.

Please note that the Parks, Recreation & Culture's Winter Camps are not a licensed program. This means that we can not accept Affordable Childcare Benefit Plans for these days.

Parks, Recreation & Culture operates camps through Winter Break with our Artic Adventures Day Camps. These camps require daily registration and run from 8am - 5:30pm. Camps are located at the Mission Leisure Centre and cost $42/day.

Registration for PRC Winter Camps is now open!

Under the "Camps & More" heading you will choose "PRC Daycamps".
Parents/caregivers are able to fully register their child(ren) online - includes selecting the desired days needed and making payment.

Did you know we have a very flexible cancellation policy?

If you call our reception/leave a voicemail message at 604-820-5350 or email us at leisureservices@mission.ca before 8pm the night before attendance you will receive a full refund for that childcare reservations. We ask that when possible, you give us as much notice as possible, so that we can make those spaces available to other families.

Club Kids accepts waitlist requests too!

If a space becomes available a registration clerk will give you a call to ask if you still need childcare for that day. They will leave you a voicemail with a timeframe that you must get back to us by. If we do not hear back from you, we will move onto the next child on the waitlist to offer the space to the next child in line. Please let us know if you do or do not need the spaces so that we can ensure other families have access as well.
