Mission Parks, Recreation and Culture – Code of Conduct

A Code of Conduct is posted in various areas of the Mission Leisure Centre. The Code of Conduct applies to all customers and staff. 

Code of Conduct
We strive to ensure that all persons are treated with
Dignity, Respect, Honesty & Fairness.
It is everyone’s responsibility to report witnessed misconduct.
Behaviour will not be tolerated, ignored or condoned if it is:
• aggressive, offensive, abusive or harassing
• interferes with another person’s enjoyment of the facilities
• unsafe to the person or others around them
Together we make all recreation safe.

Leisure Access

The Mission Parks, Recreation & Culture Department works with community partners to offer a variety of options for those on limited income.  In addition to our Healthy Lifestyles program, Jumpstart, Kidsport and social development initiatives, we also offer our PLAY Pass program which provides qualified individuals free admission to the Leisure Centre.  To qualify, applicants must have been a City of Mission resident for at least 3 months, be at or below the low income thresholds as outlined by Statistics Canada or on Income Assistance through the Ministry of Housing and Social Development or the Federal social Development program.  All applications are subject to a $5 administration fee for individual applications and $10 for family applications.

Special Occasion Licenses (Beer Gardens)

Community Groups wishing to hold beer gardens at their special events in 2022 are required to apply for a Special Occasion License. Groups must have approval from the City of Mission in order to obtain a license.

Completed applications must be received by 8:00am Friday, March 11, 2022.
