What's Happening
B&B Contracting is currently working to extend City infrastructure as it pertains to the development of Loftus Village. This inground work requires road closures along Nelson Street, Silverdale Avenue and Loftus Street. Each affected area, construction and closure dates and details are listed below.

Permitted Hours of Construction: Mon-Fri 7:00am to 8pm, Saturday 9:00am to 5:00pm, Sunday Prohibited.
Duration of Work: October 2024 to January 31, 2026 (may go beyond this date)
Silverdale Avenue West
Silverdale West is CURRENTLY CLOSED 24/7 Until approximately June 2025
B&B Contracting is installing new mains with work occurring in the center of the roadway, which does not allow space for single lane, alternating traffic.
Detour Route: Lougheed Highway (The Ministry of Transportation has been notified of this detour)
Silverdale Avenue East of Hemlock to West of Silverdale Place
Silverdale Avenue is closed east of Hemlock Street to west of Silverdale Place.
Detour routes will be available for those directly affected.
Wetlands Trail
The Wetlands Trail is currently open, with access from the West side of Silverdale Avenue. As construction moves further up and East on Silverdale Avenue, access to this trial network will be limited.
