Project Overview
Gaudin Creek Trail nestled off Dalke is a detention pond for the area that evolved into a community trail. This site, with its local walking traffic and blank canvas concrete culverts, present a unique opportunity for beautification and for UFV students to learn and take part in the creation of community art for their VA392 course requirements.
Over the course of the summer semester students will visit the site, pitch community art project proposals, host a community engagement for community feedback, have their work reviewed by a jury and then get to work making their vision a reality. True to public art process this project will not just grant beauty and contemplation to our community but serve as a true-to-life learning grounds for students to experience and learn more about how to work as an artist within this medium.

Gaudin Creek Trail Community Art Community Engagement Invitation
Project Selection
Keeping true to Community Art project selection processes, a jury has been selected that will consider various criteria from feasibility, logistics & budget, to project suitability. Following the community engagement session held on June 7th, students will take feedback generated into consideration in preparation for presentations presented to the jury on June 16th. From this jury, a project and scope will be defined directing the work for the class until project completion in early August.
