Unidirectional Flushing Starts March 3rd, 2025
The City of Mission will be cleaning watermains in pressure zone 4, 4A & 3A by unidirectional flushing beginning March 3rd, for approximately 8 weeks in the following areas described as:
Madsen Avenue to Best Avenue and Terris Street to Cemetery Avenue as shown in the map below:
Work will begin at 8:00 am and end at 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Each day, an area of approximately five city blocks will be cleaned. The process will create extremely discolored and debris-laden water, as the watermain side walls are scoured to remove any accumulated debris.
Only residences with full water interruption will receive a letter from the city advising of any scheduled interruption. Notices will be delivered door-to-door one day in advance of any scheduled interruption. Please be advised, if you do not receive a letter, you can expect your water service to remain on for the duration of the project.
