The Mission Youth Centre has adjusted its hours to earlier in the day to better accommodate youth this summer. The City has also planned a wide selection of free events, activities, and pop-ups to help make this the best summer yet for youth in the community.
"While Mission was not successful in achieving our Foundry application we remain committed to providing a host of services for youth,” said Mayor Horn. “Making our Youth Centre more accessible and giving youth more to do is just one step in our vision of providing services for all ages."
Located in the Mission Community Activity Centre at 33100 10th Avenue, the Mission Youth Centre welcomes all youths aged 12-18 to enjoy our drop-in space. Staffed by a dedicated team of Youth Engagement Workers, the Centre proves a secure, inclusive, and complimentary environment where young individuals can connect, have fun, and express their unique selves.
Summer Hours at the Centre: Monday to Friday, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., plus a number of free special events and activities that run later into the evening. Check out the calendar to see the full listing.
