We are reaching the final stages of Official Community Plan (OCP) update, a crucial document that will shape the development of Mission in the years to come.

“Our OCP is a vital document because it describes our shared vision for the future," said Mayor Paul Horn. "There are important items within this plan so we hope that everyone will review it and have their say in this final stage of the process.”

This plan has been developed with the input of residents to understand priorities and develop policy recommendations on topics such as land use, housing, neighbourhood growth, community amenities, greenspace protection and employment lands.

This is the final period of public engagement on the OCP.

Here’s what to expect:

  • The OCP will be available for public review from March 12 to April 10
  • Feedback from this review period will be considered in an updated draft of the OCP
  • Council will give first reading of the OCP adoption bylaw on March 17
  • A public hearing and vote by Council to adopt the OCP is scheduled for April 22
