Traffic Delays Expected on Murray Street Overpass

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is kicking off work on re-routing truck traffic off First Avenue. Motorists can expect delays along Highway 7, including the Murray Street overpass,  between Glasgow Avenue and Catherwood Street starting May 1st through July 31st. Heavy Trucks to Be Rerouted Out of Downtown

Announced in November, 2023, heavy truck traffic will soon be rerouted out of downtown as part of a long-awaited road improvement project led by the Province.

At the heart of the project is improving the intersections at Highway 7 and Murray Street, and Glasgow Avenue and Horne Street so they can accommodate commercial vehicles headed for highway 7 or 11.
