Snow response, curbside collection, and Community Center programming cancellations for Thursday, Feb. 6.

Snow fell over Mission last night and into this morning. Approximately 8 cm of fresh snow blanketed the community.

Crews are out in full force and focused on priority 1 routes and this will continue until these routes are clear before proceeding into priority 2 and then 3. We are working 24/7 to help ensure the safety of our roads during this weather event.

Curbside collection impacts

Zones Orange and Red 

Curbside collection of recycling and the rot pot, is canceled for Feb. 6 and 7. Garbage collection will occur as scheduled for Zones Orange A and Red A as scheduled. However, it may be slower than usual. Please ensure garbage bins are accessible to collection crews.

Leisure Centre & Boswyk Senior Activity Centre - Program Cancellation

All instructor-led land and aqua fitness classes, Mission Leisure Centre, and Boswyk Senior Activity Centre's registered programs are cancelled for Feb. 6 and will be refunded. 

The Mission Leisure Centre remains open for weight room access, public skating, and public swimming during their regular and scheduled hours.
