  • Mission has a rich history of Japanese Canadians pioneering Mission as farmers and foresters prior to World War II and the consequential internment of Japanese Canadians that resulted. The Japanese Tea House, fully funded by Japanese Canadian Legacies,  will not only share the story of their legacy in Mission with its interpretive signage, but will be a space to carry forward cultural traditions that are meaningful to Mission today.

Join us on Saturday March 29 from 11-2pm at the Mission Leisure Centre to learn more about the Japanese Tea House being planned for Centennial Park. Come share your thoughts and ideas on what sorts of programs and activities you might want to see take place in that space.
