Chafer Beetle

Does your lawn look like this? The European chafer beetle is an invasive lawn pest that has spread throughout Mission in the past few years. They feed on grass roots; however, most damage occurs from raccoons and skunks which dig up the turf to feed on the grubs. To combat the beetle, maintain a healthy lawn, consider alternative landscapes including chafer beetle resistant seed mixes or the use of beneficial nematodes.
