Mission’s Official Community Plan (OCP) is a roadmap for responsible growth and development. The OCP sets a vision for the future, and helps provide guidance for Council, residents, and those who help build our city, ensuring that future planning decisions align with resident and Council priorities.
Our plan will tell us what important challenges and opportunities the City is facing, becoming a key tool that will shape our communities for the future.

A City-wide Engagement Event with a Rural Focus
This engagement session is open to all Mission residents, covering city-wide planning concerns including a focus on community issues in rural Mission.
Sharing your ideas at this open house will assist the City in creating an updated Official Community Plan (OCP) that will provide strategic guidance for Mission’s growth over the next 20 years for its urban and rural communities.
Your ideas at this open house will help in the preparation of a new OCP land use plan and policies this fall that will guide future development across Mission, including its rural communities.
Through your input at this meeting, the updated OCP will be strengthened in its ability to help address critical concerns for the rural areas of the city including housing affordability, environmental protection, local employment opportunities, access to community services and a healthy living environment.
Please attend this open house to share your ideas about a sustainable future for Mission, including its rural areas. Also, remember that there will be other similar engagement opportunities available in the months ahead where you will be able to exchange ideas for the new OCP.
